Learning to Sit Up

Jaylee is beginning to sit up by herself. She still has a little way to go, but she can sit up on her own by using her hands to hold herself up. She is really growing fast!

Cousin Jonathon's Big Weekend

My nephew Jonathon is adopted, and this past weekend we were able to be there to see him sealed to his family in the temple. It was a great experience for everyone.

You gotta love the look on Emmie's face in this picture!

Jaylee and Mom at the Temple
The boys stayed with Riley's family for the day, but since Jaylee is still nursing she got to ride along. I had to get a picture with my daughter at the temple.

Jaylee - 5 months

After the boy's birthdays and Halloween, I thought the blog was lacking in Jaylee pictures. So, here you go... enjoy!
Jaylee looked so cute this day. Her bow was so big, that when she saw herself in the mirror she started laughing! She wore this bow again the other day and when my dad saw her he said, "What do you have on her head?" I told him it was just a big bow, and he said, "She is not going to like you for doing that to her." I bet she will enjoy looking back at her baby pictures when she is all grown up.

Jaylee's new thing is to stick her tongue straight out into a point. I call her the 'Lizard Girl' when she does that. It is pretty cute, though!

Jaylee also enjoys playing with her feet...

Random Shots from the Past Few Weeks

Sometimes during the day I ask Riley to watch Jaylee for a few minutes. I always think that he can keep working and that she can just watch him, but I always come back and find the two of them chatting with each other! I don't think Riley gets much work done.

Melanie, Riley's sister, got a puppy... she let Riley watch it for her. Poor dog...

Last week I heard a bunch of noise coming from the playroom. When I walked in, this is what I found. Even though I was annoyed that they took all of the toys off of the toy shelf, I still had to get a picture. I love it when they have fun together. Even if it means more work for me.

We don't have any girl toys yet, so this is what Jaylee got stuck playing with the other day. I put some baby toys down by her, but she just reached out and pulled this truck over to her. It is a good thing Christmas is coming, because I felt kind of bad seeing my little girl playing with boy toys.

I have a great view out my kitchen window. I was watching all of them play while I was doing dishes and thought that I needed to take a picture of them.

Mom and Kids

I wanted to get a picture with all of the kids. This was the best I could get. It is actually not too bad, considering what I am working with.

Riley took a picture with all of the kids, too. Brady insisted that everyone wore a hat!

Little Deer Hunter

Deer season is here. In preparation the boys began putting up tree stands. Brady is fearless and started climbing up one as soon as it was attached to the tree. We had to stop him or he would have climbed all the way up!

Happy 2nd Birthday Brady

Brady turned 2 years old on Halloween. He celebrated by having cake and ice cream with family, opening presents, and going trick-or-treating. I think he is still too young to really understand what was going on, but he loved having everyone sing to him and getting presents. He was also a fun trick-or-treater. He was actually running door to door and yelling 'trick-or-treat' when people came to their door!

...and blowing out the candles!

His first present. Easton was more than happy to help him open his presents. Brady is fun to give presents too because he said "Whoa... Cool!" after about every present he opened.

The Party Scene

I guess with having a Halloween birthday, you never know what will show up to your party. Grandma came dressed as a witch and Papa was wearing a 'bed bug' hat (which Brady immediately stole off of his head).

Halloween Fun

We had a fun Halloween this year. We celebrated by going to a church moms and tots party, watching Easton in a costume parade at his school, going to a trunk-or-treat at church, and trick-or-treating with Jared's family. It was a fun and busy week!

Easton sat with his preschool class and sang 3 songs with them during the costume parade. It was fun to get to see him interact with his school friends.

A Family Halloween Picture

Brady stole the hat off of Easton's head right as we were trying to snap the picture!

The boys were eager to dig into their candy after the trunk - or - treat at church. Riley and I were excited to get some candy also!

It is so much fun living by family again and being able to spend the holidays with them.
