Baby Clothes!!!!

I have really been needing to go through all of the baby clothes and sort them into bins before the next baby arrives, so while Melanie was here I made her help me. Between my sister, other family members, and church members giving me hand -me - downs I have way more clothes than any child should have!!

This is before we started, and yes that is 9 boxes of clothes size 0 - 24 months!!
This is during, there was no room to walk in my house. We ended with 2 bins size 0 - 3 months, 2 bins size 3-6 months, 1 bin for 6-9 months, 1 bin for 12 months, 1 bin for over 12 months, 1 bin of shoes, and finally 1 bin of winter clothes and Halloween costumes. Pretty impressive, huh!?!

Columbian Park Zoo Run-Run

Over the weekend, we headed back to Indiana so that I could participate in the Zoo 5K Run. I was pretty impressed that at 6 months pregnant I was still able to complete it in 29 minutes and 37 seconds!
...middle of the run...
...running towards the finish line..
...done but pretty tired! I think the extra weight may be beginning to catch up with me. My shirt is stretched pretty tight!

Columbian Park Zoo

Easton thought the elephants and the sprinklers could also be used as drinking fountains!

Easton loves animals and enjoyed petting the goats. We had to remind him to be gentle, since he is used to playing rough with our dog.

Swimming

On our trip to Indiana for my run Easton had fun swimming with his cousin Emmie and Grandma!

Easton convinced Grandma to play 'Ring Around the Rosie' in the pool. Grandma, of course, decided to "all fall down" in her clothes. The only problem was she forgot that he cell phone was in her pocket! Oh well, Easton thought it was funny to see her get in the water.

Fun at the County Fair

This morning Easton and I went to our local county fair. He had a lot of fun and enjoyed seeing all of the animals. His favorite seemed to be the cows, so I don't know where he got that from. Easton also got to feed animals at a petting zoo, including a kangaroo! Easton also got his first taste of an Elephant Ear. It really wouldn't have been a day at the fair without one of those!

Big Boy Bed

As you know we are preparing Easton for a little brother, and the first thing we had to do was get a place for him to sleep when the baby takes his crib. Riley decided that he could build a better toddler bed than any in the stores, so he went to work. He built a solid wood bed equipped with a bookshelf headboard and space for storage underneath. I am pretty impressed with his handiwork and Easton is very excited for his new bed!

testing the frame...
All put together and holds the weight of 1 adult, 1 toddler, and 1 fluffy dog!
the staining is done... time to set it up
Easton was very excited to point to and tell us about his new bed.
Believe it or not, Easton actually fell right to sleep the first time I put him down for a nap in it. Certainly the transition from crib to bed couldn't be this easy...could it?
