3 Months!!

Jaylee is now three months! She is a happy baby and loves her family. She likes eating, smiling, and sitting in her Bumbo seat. She is also getting really strong and starting to reach for toys. These three months have gone by so fast!

Melanie Gets Married

Melanie and Brandon got married in the Nauvoo temple at the beginning of this month. They are a beautiful couple. Riley and I are also excited because all of our siblings are now married!

They are heading to the temple for their wedding.

The Newlyweds

Jaylee wearing her flower girl dress and a bow that I made.

Papa and the boys were trying to take a good picture, but that is really hard to do with toddlers. Don't the boys look handsome in their new suits.

Brady

All of Melanie's sisters and sister-in-laws were her bridesmaids.

Should Brady really be walking on the flower beds? That boy wears us out!

Melanie's Car Gets Decorated!

Following tradition, Melanie's brothers and brother-in-laws spent the majority of the wedding reception decorating her and Brandon's car. The outside is covered in post-it notes, oreos, and shaving cream. The inside is filled with balloons, post-it notes, fishing string, and other items. This may seem a little bit much, but they left the car by the doors to the church, unlocked, and with the sun roof open. They were asking for it.

Brady even got in on the action.

The boys were also helping by eating the Oreos off of the car as the brothers were sticking them on!

It was a group effort.

The Nauvoo Temple

Our children were able to see a temple up close for the first time this past weekend. We were so excited to have them with us and talk about the temple. Easton kept saying that is was 'so big.' The Nauvoo Temple is beautiful.

We took an early morning walk in our pajamas to see the sun rise around the temple. What a great way to start the day!

Nauvoo

One of the great parts about Brandon and Melanie getting married in the Nauvoo Temple was taking our kids to tour Nauvoo. We did a wagon ride, the blacksmith shop, the brick maker, and the kid's play area.

I took this picture for my mom. This is the house that the local Midwife lived in. Thank goodness for great labor and delivery nurses and lactation consultants.

Papa on the wagon ride. He is still happy because he hasn't seen the total cost of Melanie's wedding yet.

A family of 5 in the blacksmith's shop.

While checking out Nauvoo everyone was enjoying a Twizzler. Papa decided that Jaylee wanted one too. That is okay though because I live by the motto 'If Jaylee wants it, Jaylee gets it!' I have a feeling that this motto might backfire on me at some point...

Rocket Man

Uncle Scott (Kalie's Husband) came to visit for the wedding. Scott is a real life rocket scientist and Easton has been talking about rockets lately. We called Scott and Kalie a few weeks before they came and told them that Easton would really like to build a rocket with Uncle Scott. Well, Scott followed through and built an awesome rocket made out of 2 liter bottles, piping, and water!

In this picture Easton and Scott are hooking up the bike pump that will give the rocket the pressure it needs to launch. I think Scott became the 'cool uncle' with the kids this day.

Riley and I often call Easton our 'little engineer,' This picture of him and Scott (he has a masters degree in engineering) makes me believe this term is true for Easton. They are intently figuring out how to get the rocket going.

Easton is pumping up the rocket...

and blast off! The rocket was so fast that the only thing we could catch on the camera was the stream of water it left.

Melanie's Bridal Shower

Beautiful Bride
We had a shower for Melanie. It was a lot of fun and we had a lots of people come. Melanie was so excited.

Brandon is taking jiu-jitsu lessons right now and I found a great baby girl 'Tap Out' shirt. I thought it would be perfect for Brandon when they start having babies!

My mom found this cute picture frame for her.

Melanie and all of her bridesmaids / sisters.

Hiking at the Celery Bog

Since everyone was in town for Melanie's wedding, the kids got to do lots of playing with their cousins. One morning we all took a walk at the Celery Bog in Lafayette. This post is a few pictures from that walk.

Cousins

The boys finally got to meet their newest cousin, Grey. Grey is three weeks older than Jaylee, so the boys thought they knew just what to do with him. Grey isn't used to having older kids right in his face, but he tolerated it well.

This is all of the 2010 Gibb grandchildren. They are also all laying on matching blankets made by Grandma Hillyard.

Jaylee and Grey liked checking each other out.

This is Nana and Papa with all seven of their grandchildren.

Chewy

Doesn't Chewy look sweet?

Yes, he is sweet. Well he was until I realized that he was sleeping on a table. Yes, and to make it worse the table is covered with one of Riley's Africa skins! Chewy is a unique dog...
