Random Shots from the Past Week

The other day I sat Brady down in his crib to go help Easton. When I came back to get him I was shocked to see that he had pulled himself up onto his knees and was looking over his crib rail!

Most mornings the boys end up joining me in bed to wake up. They are really sweet that time of day. I also love how this picture shows what good friends they are becoming.

A smiling picture!

Brady was so worn out after a long outing with all of us that he couldn't even put his pacifier all the way into his mouth for the car ride home!

Fire Trucks and Police Cars!!!

Cincinnati loves festivals! Today we went to one close to our house and Easton got to drive a fire truck, sit inside a SWAT vehicle, and spray a fire hose! He was as happy as can be. He is into any kind of big machine right now so this made his day!

The Big Slide

going up...

coming down...

At the festival there were several blow-up slides and bouncy tents. I was pretty impressed with how well Easton climbed up this slide. He even hopped right on the slide and came down. However, once he started going down he had a look of terror on his face that made everyone in line laugh!

Kings Island

Riley had his annual company picnic at Kings Island last Friday. In the morning Easton and I met our friends Owen and Dawn there so that the boys could do some rides together. I felt bad for Easton though because Owen is a good 2 inches taller than him and is able to ride a lot more rides than Easton. Owen was a good sport and didn't complain about having to spend the day going on all of the baby rides. Easton didn't know he was missing out on anything, but in a few years when Owen is going on the adult size roller coasters and he is still too short he is probably going to notice!

Deerfield Honors Veterans 5k

I ran another 5k this morning. My finishing time was 27:46, which was a personal best for me. I was pretty excited about that because the course had a few pretty big hills and I got a stomach cramp shortly after the two mile mark. I was able to keep running through all of that though. Another exciting thing is that I got 1st in the 25 - 29 age division! However, it was the slowest 1st place of all the age divisions. Riley said that it was ok because that is the child - bearing age group. He is pretty good at supporting this whole thing.

Cincinnati 5K 10K Moms
A woman at my church just created this group and I am helping her set everything up. This was our first event as a group and we had a pretty good turnout. You can check us out at www.cinci5k10kmoms.com
