Christmas Day

Easton was excited to open all of his presents!

Brady is opening up a present.

Cousin Dax gave Jaylee a hat that she could attach all of her hair bows too. He must know just what she likes.

Riley's parents got a new kid picnic table and it needed set up for Christmas dinner. Riley and the Rocket Scientist got to work!

Brandon is a good uncle. He helps with the babies and plays with the older kids.

Jaylee found a tiara in Nana's dress up clothes. It suits her well...

Christmas Morning

The boys were excited to see if Santa came! Jaylee didn't know what was going on.

Easton has been wanting a pillow pet since this summer. Santa was the only one that would get it for him.

This is our first year since having kids that we were able to have Christmas morning in our own house. It was so nice to have some time with just our family.

Brady didn't waste any time getting into his candy. We had to take his stocking away or he would have just kept eating chocolate.

Easton dressed up as Buzz Lightyear.

Christmas Eve - Evening

This picture is of Nana and Papa with all of the grandkids in their Christmas pajamas.

There are four boy cousins. I have supplied half of them!

Gibb Girls

This is a picture of us playing 'The Candy Bar Game.' This is a favorite Christmas game of ours, even though Brady opened his candy before he was supposed to and Easton ended up crying over a pack of gum...

Christmas Eve - Nativity

A Christmas tradition at the Gibb house is to act out the Nativity story. This year we had enough grandkids to fill most of the roles. Jaylee was the Star of the show, of course.

Easton was Joseph

Joseph and Mary looking for a place to stay.

Since Melanie and Brandon don't have kids yet, they got to be the animals in the stable.

The Cast
From left to right: Dax (Shepherd), Brandon (Sheep), Jaylee (Star), Brady (Wise Man), Melanie (Donkey), Grey (Baby Jesus), Easton (Joseph), Ruby (Mary), and Stella (Angel).

Christmas Eve - Morning

On Christmas Eve morning we went over to my parents for breakfast, so Riley could put together my parent's surprise for the boys. My mom likes making breakfast, so we all got a good meal!

My dad has always had a tradition of cleaning the barn really good on Christmas Eve. Now that we have moved back to Indiana we are able to make this a Christmas tradition for our family as well. As you can probably tell from the pictures Brady did the most work of anyone!

After the barn was clean, we got out the 4-wheeler and went sledding. Easton is getting old enough that he really enjoyed it. He also thought that this was how Santa's reindeer pulled his sleigh.

My parent's got the boys bunk beds for Christmas. They were really excited and Easton climbed right up to his bunk! They have slept in them two nights so far and they seem to like them. It is hard to believe that they are big enough to be sleeping in bunk beds, though!

This is a picture of Jaylee opening up her first Christmas present.

The boys took their first nap in their new beds on Christmas Eve.

Nana and Papa's House

The kids spent some time at Nana and Papa's house this week.
Easton and Brady built a snowman...

and a snow duck!

Jaylee has been having fun playing with Grey, her cousin.

Day With Grandma

My mom and I took the kids out for an afternoon getaway. First we ate at Pizza King, which the boys always love, and then we went to a model train museum.

Both boys enjoyed looking at the trains, but Brady was especially interested. He watched the trains intently and didn't want to leave.

Winter Wonderland

On Saturday morning we had a heavy fog, and when it lifted the trees were left with a layer of icy crystals. It was absolutely gorgeous. Everything was sparkly and I had to check it out. So, Brady and I grabbed the camera and headed out. I am loving winter this year. I must have forgotten how beautiful it is after 6 years of living in a city and being surrounded by buildings.

Can you see the bird's nest in the tree?

The Clothesline

Easton did not want to get cold, so he stayed inside and watched through the windows.

Jaylee - 6 months

Our sweet chubby girl is now 6 months old. At her 6 month check-up Jaylee weighed in at 16lbs 12ozs and is 26 inches long. Some of her favorite things right now are: sitting up by herself, playing with toys, watching her brothers run, her mom, pretty dresses, singing when she wakes up in the morning, and of course big hair bows.

Deer Season 2010

Riley took these pictures from his deer stand. They pretty much sum up how hunting season went this year... a lot of pretty scenery, not a lot of deer. This will only be the 2nd year that Riley has not gotten a deer since we have been together. We have some meat in the freezer from last year, but after that it will be rice and beans for us. Better luck next year Ry!
